Semiconductor Demand Increased! WPG (3702 TT) Reports Second Quarter Consolidated Sales of NT$91.07 Billion, +12.7% QoQ.  YTD Consolidated Sales of 2012 Reaches NT$171.85 Billion, +6% YoY.

Delivered by demand from emerging market such as China, India and Indonesia combined with increasing demand for NB, iPhone, iPad and Smartphone, WPG, the largest distributor of semiconductor components in Asia, reported June 2012 consolidated sales of NT$29.29 billion, an 11.6% increase over previous year; Consolidated sale of second quarter were NT$91.07 billion, represented 12.7% increase over previous quarter’s revenue of NT$80.79 billion, in line with second quarter’s NT$90~94 billion guidance and also set a record for the group’s consolidated sales of single quarter. YTD consolidated sales of 2012 reached NT$171.85 billion, a 6% increase over 2011’s NT$162.32 billion.

The sales breakdowns by regions of WPG are 76% from China (incl. HK), 15% from Taiwan, 7% from ASEAN and 2% from others.
