WPG (3702 TT) Reports February 2013 Consolidated Sales of NT$ 21.44 Billion. YTD Consolidated Sales Reaches NT$53.55 Billion, +12% YoY.

WPG, the largest distributor of semiconductor components in Asia, reported February 2013 consolidated sales of NT$21.44 billion, a result of fewer working days for Lunar New Year holiday. YTD consolidated sales reached NT$53.55, a 12% increase over previous year’s NT$47.83 billion, in line with expectation.

The sales breakdowns by regions are 77% from China (incl. HK), 15% from Taiwan, 6% from ASEAN and 2% from others.

To expand the coverage of small and medium size customers and to cultivate electronic components retail stores’ small quantity service market, WPG’s subsidiary, WPG Cloud Service Limited established a joint venture with Shenzhen Huaqiang Industry Co., Ltd. This WPG-Huaqiang joint venture’s business will start with focus on fulfilling electronics engineers’ small quantity need on components for R&D, engineering sample and maintenance. This small quantity service combined with e-service platform will help enlarging the electronics components retail stores market in China.
