2009 Revenue Reaches NT$103.3 Billion (US$3.09 Billion), +24% YoY

WPG, the largest distributor of semiconductor components in Asia, reported July 2009 consolidated sales of NT$18.88 billion (US$572.05 Million), represented an increase of 38% over previous year. On a year-to-date basis, 2009 revenue reached NT$103.3 billion (US$3.09 billion), a 24% increase in comparison with 2008.
Thanks to the strong demand on high-end and low cost product in China, the highly increasing demand from other emerging markets, such as India, ASEAN, Mid-east, Africa and Russia, helps the customers in Mainland China successfully expand their export sales market. WPG has also benefited from i-Phone highly popularity and substantial business contribution delivered by AIT and Pernas, WPG has posted record high sales of July 2009.
In this year, WPG provide more than 50 application solutions in the fields of handset, NB, TV, Information Appliances, automotive. We also highlight “LED” in our website, which provided kinds of solutions, application such as LED backlight, automotive and outdoors lighting etc., and related product lines (ex. The market share of WPG has extended consecutively, the sales breakdowns by regions are 68% from China (incl. HK), 22% from Taiwan, 7% from ASEAN and 3% from others.
