Semiconductor Distributor - WPG (TSE:3702) Announces March 2007 Consolidated Sales of NT$10.49billion (US$319 Million)

WPG, the largest distributor of semiconductor components in Asia, posted consolidated sales of TW$10.49 billion (approximately US$319 million) for the month of March 2007. The consolidated sales represented a 41% MoM increase and 3% increase compared to March, 2006. Year-to-Date consolidated sales of March 2007 was TW$27.96billion (approximately US$849 million).

For the sales growth of handset and consumer electronic products, over 60% of shipment sales were from China. Year-to-Date sales breakdown by regions was as follows: 65% from China (incl. HK), 24% from Taiwan, 10.5% from Asean and 0.5% from Korea.

Year-to-Date sales breakdown by product category was as follows: 43% from core chips (CPU, MPU, chipsets), 33% from standard chips (logic, analog/linear, discrete and ASSP), 14% from memory chips (DRAM, SRAM, Flash, EEPROM), and 10% from others.
