Semiconductor Distributor - WPG (TSE:3702) Announces February 2007 Consolidated Sales of NT$7.43billion (US$226 Million)

WPG, the largest distributor of semiconductor components in Asia, posted consolidated sales of TW$7.43 billion (approximately US$226 million) for the month of February 2007. The consolidated sales represented a 26% MoM decrease for the long vacation of Lunar Year, and 12% decrease compared to February, 2006. Year-to-Date consolidated sales of February 2007 was TW$17.42billion (approximately US$530 million).
Thanks to Group synergy benefit, over 60% of selling is from China. Year-to-Date sales breakdown by regions was as follows: 64% from China (incl. HK), 25% from Taiwan and 11% from Asean.
Year-to-Date sales breakdown by product category was as follows: 40% from core chips (CPU, MPU, chipsets), 33% from standard chips (logic, analog/linear, discrete and ASSP), 16% from memory chips (DRAM, SRAM, Flash, EEPROM), and 11% from others.
