WPG, the largest distributor of semiconductor components in Asia, posted record-high sales of TW$12.054 billion (approximately US$369 million) for the month of September 2006, representing a 6% m-o-m increase. Year-to-Date consolidated sales reported TW$87.318 billion (approximately US$2.694 billion), representing a 5% y-o-y increase. PC demand boomed, still supported by successful Intel/AMD pricing cut policy. Consumer and mobile product demand positively performed.
Thanks to Group synergy benefit，over 60% of selling are from China。Year-to-Date sales breakdown by regions was as follows: 61% from China (incl. HK)，27% from Taiwan and 12% from Asean.
Year-to-Date sales breakdown by product category was as follows: 39% from core chips (CPU, MPU, chipsets), 35% from standard chips (logic, analog/linear, discrete and ASSP), 17% from memory chips (DRAM, SRAM, Flash, EEPROM), and 9% from others.
