Semiconductor Distributor - WPG (TSE:3702) Announces Jan-Aug Year 2006 Management Account Consolidated Income after Tax TW$840 million, EPS after Tax TW$1.21

Thanks to peak season, WPG, the largest distributor of semiconductor components in Asia, posted management account consolidated sales of NT$75.264 billion for Jan-Aug 2006, representing a 6% y-o-y increase. Thanks to Group synergy benefit and well-managed product mix, consolidated gross profit margin & operating profit margin rose to 5.99% and 2.36% for the first eight months of Year 2006. Aug after tax EPS recorded 0.26. Jan-Aug management account consolidated income after tax achieved TW$840 million, accumulated EPS after tax TW$1.21*, given common stock capital TW$6.932 billion.

*WPG audited 1H06 after tax EPS was TWD0.78.
