Semiconductor Distributor - WPG (TSE:3702) Announces Jan-July Year 2006 Management Account Consolidated Income after Tax TW$616 million, EPS after Tax TW$0.89

WPG, the largest distributor of semiconductor components in Asia, posted management account consolidated sales of NT$63.882 billion for Jan-July 2006, representing a 7% y-o-y increase. Thanks to Group synergy benefit and well-managed product mix, consolidated gross profit margin rose to 5.94% for the first seven months of Year 2006 from 5.1% for the same period Year 2005. Consolidated operating profit margin grew to 2.26% for Jan-July Year 2006. With profit growth surpassing sales growth, Jan-July management account consolidated income after tax achieved TW$616 million, accumulated EPS after tax TW$0.89, given common stock capital TW$6.932 billion.
