“WPG Tech. Online” Launched LED, Mobile Phones, Laptops, TV Sets, Household Appliances, Automotive Hotspot Solutions Demonstrated

WPG will be officially launching “WPG Tech. Online” during the 2009 International IC-China Conference & Spring Exhibition (IIC-China), combining the latest hotspot solutions of its five sub-groups, World Peace Industrial, Group, Silicon Application Corp., RichPower Electronic Devices, Pernas Enterprise and AIT Group for 2009 (https://www.wpgholdings.com/event/wpgtechonline.html). The online demo will focus on more than 50 market hotspot products and solutions, which include the star industries of 2009: LED, mobile phones, laptops, television sets, household electrical appliances and automotive electronics. In addition, being optimistic about the bright industry of LED lighting, WPG has devoted a special column to LED on the website, with a comprehensive display of LED-related products distributed by the group, including AATI, CREE, Everlight, Fairchild, Infineon, Liteon, Microchip, mSilica, NXP, ON, Samsung, Seoul, and TI. The site also provides coverage on LED backlight, automotive and outdoor lighting and other related applications for customers.

Specific to these market segments, WPG has introduced a series of product designs and design solutions that have shorter manufacturing cycles, are less expensive and more functionally diverse by consolidating the product offerings and applications from its sub-groups.
In 2008, WPG’s annual revenue was more than US$4.5 billion, with 78% of that revenue coming from China. With the Chinese Central Government’s RMB 4 trillion stimulus package that is driving domestic demand and the series of policy initiatives such as household appliances and automobiles for rural areas, WPG China managing director Bai Zongren is optimistic about the group’s growth potential in the Chinese market, “In anticipation of the future development of the Chinese market, WPG will be deploying competitive parts, products and integrated solutions from the consolidation of resources from the group’s more than 200 product lines to help customers develop and invest in the future market, achieving an all-win combination with suppliers and customers.”
