WPG Times Currently in its 100th Issue Focusing on “Localized Solutions” to Meet the Needs of Local Customers in 2010
2009-12-08
Since WPG Holdings was established in November 2005, WPG Times, a biweekly electronic newsletter, is currently in its hundredth issue! Looking back to when the first issue of the WPG newsletter was published, it was the first of its kind in electronic marketing for the Asia-Pacific electronic components industry, drawing the attention of 140,000 online corporate clients in Taiwan and China. To continue to enhance its service offerings, WPG Times in June 2009 changed its format to a more “thematic” approach, adding two brand-new columns, “Solutions Online” and “Parts Procurement,” combining the industry’s hotspot applications and solutions actively marketed by WPG to provide timely customer-focused product design solutions and parts procurement information services. The thematic newsletter’s publication has since received a tremendous response from engineers, with each issue of “Solutions Online” drawing an online readership of as many as 1,000 corporate customers.
With the emerging markets in the China Region continuing to enjoy substantial growth, as the No. 1 Asia-Pacific electronic distributor, WPG is utilizing its advantage as the Demand Creation Provider for Asia-Pacific customers and is planning to expand its information service offerings in 2010 to localized solutions for the China Region, as well as increasing the frequency of newsletter publication in key markets in order to quickly meet customer needs. According to Mr. Lin Chunjie, vice president of WPG Holdings’ marketing management division, “WPG will continue to optimize the value-added services for industry supply chain information flow on behalf of distributors, and to endeavor to meet the different needs of local customers in China and Taiwan, as well as to provide differentiated solution options in a timely fashion.”
WPG Times is published on a biweekly basis (every other Wednesday), covering product design solutions and parts procurement information for over 200 product lines distributed by the five major sub-groups: World Peace, Silicon Applications, RichPower, Permas and AIT, with their online corporate clients in Taiwan and China totaling more than 140,000.
